Tencate Wins Twice Sets School Record in the 10,000
ABILENE, Texas – Sydney Tencate won the 10,000 with a school record and also claimed the title in the 1,500 to pace the Hardin-Simmons track and field teams at the War Hawk Invitational at McMurry.

Tencate set a new school record in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 41:14.94. She also won the women's 1500 meter run with a time of 5:02.73

Myra Carrion won first place in the pole vault with a jump of 10-6. She also placed third in the 400 meters dash with a time of 1:02.48. She took home fourth in the javelin with a throw of 95-2 meters.

In the women's 100 meter hurdles, Logan Redding finished fourth with a time of 16.98 and Paige Lindstrom finished seventh with a time of 17.79. In the women's 400 meter hurdles, Molli Howard finished third with a time of 1:11.44.

In the 100 meter dash, Kalimah Muhammad finished seventh with a time of 13.11.

In the 4x100 meter relay, with a team consisting of Kalimah Muhammad, Rhea Harris, Samantha Pennese, and Myra Carrion finished fourth with a time of 50.27.

In the field events, Rhea Harris finished sixth in the long jump with a jump of 16-1. Justice Locket threw 38-6 in the shotput that was good enough for third place. In the javelin throw, Paige Lindstrom placed third with a throw of 98-7.

On the men's side, Kaelon McLemore finished second in the javelin with a throw of 150-9. He also finished fourth in the hammer throw with a throw of 129-9 and fourth in the shot put with a throw of 42-4.

Nate McEndree took eighth place in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:12.02.

In the pole vault, Connor Iacomini finished third with a jump of 13-6.

In the 4 x 100 meter relay with a team of Kevin Lavalais, Kyle Dodd, Hasanai Chariang, and Brandon Sparks Moffett finished second with a time of 42.84. Lavalais also finished sixth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.29 and Sparks-Moffett finished fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.42.

In the hurdles, Chanriang finished first in the men's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.70. In the 110 hurdles, Andrew Fischer finished third with a time of 16.30 Dodd finished in fourth a split second behind him.

Hardin-Simmons will host the Cowboy Classic on April 1 at the Grape Street Track Complex.
