Cowgirls Fall In ASC Semifinals

TYLER, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's tennis team fell 5-0 to UT Tyler in the American Southwest Conference semifinals on Friday afternoon at the Summers Tennis Center in Tyler.

The No. 37-ranked Patriots took control of the dual with a three-match sweep in doubles.

Heading to singles UTT needed just two wins and Marisa Quevedo defeated Michaela Ellison at No. 1 and Savannah Seeley won at No. 6 to end the match.

Abigail Kendall was leading 6-2, 2-1 at No. 3 singles for the Cowgirls.

HSU ends its season with a record of 5-15 and UT Tyler improved to 15-7 on the year.

It was the final match for Ellison as she was the Cowgirls lone senior.
