Cowgirls Fall To Mary Hardin-Baylor

ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' softball team fell 10-1 to Mary Hardin-Baylor on Wednesday afternoon in American Southwest Conference action at Ellis Field.

The Cru had 16 hits and scored in every inning but the first.

HSU scored its run in the bottom of the sixth inning on an RBI single by Emily Perez.

Cierra Woodyard had two of the seven Cowgirl hits. Lexie Allen took the loss in the circle allowing 13 hits and seven runs. Genia Salazar worked the final inning.

Hannah Halepaska improved to 9-1 on the year. She scattered seven hits and struck out eight. Kasi Cummings and Emily Bounds each had three hits for UMHB.

HSU is 0-23 on the year and 0-15 in league play. UMHB is now 16-7 overall and 11-4 in ASC action. The Cowgirls will host Howard Payne this weekend.
