September 27, 2018

ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer won 3-0 against Ozarks in Thursday night's American Southwest Conference contest, making it six straight wins for the Cowgirls.

HSU first scored in the 41st minute off a perfectly placed cross by Evan Pipkin finished by Finda Kollie, making her second goal of the year. To start the second half, Kollie returned the favor with a cross of her own in tight to Pipkin for a score, putting HSU up 2-0 in the 47th minute.

Randie Dennison added her fourth goal of the year, following her hat trick from last week, with a nice corner kick from Baylee Ford.

The Cowgirls continued their dominant statistical advantage trend of late, leading Ozarks in shots (30-5), shots on goal (17-3), and corners (10-0).

Even in the loss, Eagle's keeper Kiara Henry put in an amazing effort, recording 14 saves in the 17 shots on goal against her. Caitlin Christiansen got the start for the Cowgirls and the win, pushing her record to 5-1. Casey Carillo also saw time in between the pipes for HSU.

HSU (6-1, 4-0 ASC) will play again this Saturday at 2 p.m. against UT Tyler in Abilene.
