Cowgirls Stay Undefeated With Win At Ozarks

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team beat the University of the Ozarks 5-1 on Saturday afternoon in Clarksville, Ark., in American Southwest Conference action.

Kenne Kessler scored three goals to give her 17 for the year and Sarah Krisa added two goals for the Cowgirls.

Kessler scored in the fourth minute and Krisa scored in the eighth and 20th minutes to give the Cowgirls a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Kessler added a goal in the 49th minute to make it 4-0. Brittanie Gragg scored off a header for Ozarks in the 56th minute and Kessler scored in the 70th minute off a free kick.

HSU outshot the Eagles 19-3 overall and 11-2 on target. Caitlin Christiansen had a scoreless half in goal and Casey Carrillo worked the second half.

The Cowgirls are 9-0 on the year and 5-0 in the ASC. Ozarks fell to 5-5 overall and 1-5 in conference play. HSU will host Belhaven on Thursday.
