The game went to penalties and the Cowgirls went first with Kami Jones making for HSU. Christiansen had a save of the first shot. Both teams missed the second shot and HSU had a 1-0 lead. The Cowgirls missed or Crist saved the final four Cowgirl attempts and the Bears made their final two shots for the 2-1 win.

HSU finished the year with a record of 20-1-2. HSU allowed only three goals the entire season. Washington improved to 16-2-3 and will face Trinity on Sunday for the right to go to the Final Four.
