Cowgirls Open Up Lead At Lady Crusader Invitational

 

GLEN ROSE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' golf team is in the lead after the first round of the Lady Crusader Invitational which is being played at the Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose.

The Cowgirls are looking for their second straight win to start the season.

HSU shot a season-low 311 and have a seven-stroke lead over Mary Hardin-Baylor. Concordia is third with a 332. TLU (335), McMurry (336), East Texas Baptist (336), LeTourneau (347) and Howard Payne (358) round out the field.

Heidi Moser is in the individual lead after shooting a 74. She is three strokes ahead of teammate Baylee Oehlert and Cassidy Rawls of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Ashley Riemitis is tied for sixth place after shooting a 79. Jordan Daggs shot an 81 and Kayleigh Mints had an 84 for the Cowgirls.

Anarenee Beyer shot an 81 playing as an individual in the first tournament of her career and Taylor Thompson shot an 85 also playing as an individual.

The teams will play 18 holes on Tuesday morning.
