Cowgirls In Eighth At Bulldog Classic  

 

INDIO, Calif.  – Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team is in eighth place after the first round of the Bulldog Classic at the par-72, 5,828-yard Indian Springs Golf Club in Indio, Calif.

Senior Kelsie Guinn had her best round of the season with a 75 in the first round. Jordan Daggs shot a career-best 80 for the Cowgirls and Ashley Reimitis tied her season low with an 83. Carly Pachuta had an 87 and Baylee Oehlert shot 89.  

HSU finished the round with a score of 325 and is tied for eighth in the 17-team field. Methodist leads after the first round after shooting a 305. Claremont Mudd Scripps is second at 308.

Keilee Bessho of Hope International, Paige Church of Methodist and Caroline Ordian of Redlands are tied for the individual lead after shooting 73s.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
