May 23, 2019

GENEVA, Ohio– Hardin-Simmons' men's outdoor track finished its season on Thursday at the NCAA Division III Nationals having qualified in the 400 meter hurdles and the 4x400 meter relay.

The Cowboy 4x400m team of Tanner Wright, Hasanai "Go" Chanriang, Malik Pratt, and Aaron Martinez finished No. 15 in the nation in the prelims with a time of 3:18.56. This was the first Hardin-Simmons' men's track relay team to qualify for the NCAA Nationals and they set the event school record multiple times this year.

"Go" Chanriang also competed in the 400m hurdles, his third straight NCAA appearance in the event. "Go" led his heat but sadly caught his back foot on the last hurdle and couldn't recover.

"Go" is a senior and will leave Hardin-Simmons as a record holder in the 400m hurdles and a member of the 4x400 meter relay record-team. He qualified for the NCAA Nationals three years in a row in four total events and he will be missed.
