Cowboy Track Competes at the TLU D3 Challenge

SEGUIN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's outdoor track competed in the TLU D3 Challenge in Seguin on Saturday.

Sammy Magallen placed first in the 3000m Steeplechase with a new school-record time of 10:39.07. Magallen also set an outdoor track record with a 4:45:25 mile.

Tanner Wright led the Cowboys with an 11.12 in the 100m dash. Juwan Crawford led the Cowboys in the 200m dash with a 22.45. River Smith led in the 5000m with a 16:40.50.

Thomas Couch ran in the 110m hurdles with a 16.27. Aaron Martinez led the Cowboys in the 400m with a 49.56. Malik Pratt had a time of 52.64 in the 400m.

The 4x100m A team of Crawford, Wright, Hasanai "Go" Chanriang, and E.J. Konah ran a 42.43, good for second overall. The B team of Couch, Teddy McIntyre, Noah Straw, and Joseph Gilligan had a time of 44.57.

The Cowboy 4x400m A team of Wright, Chanriang, Pratt, and Martinez also placed second with a time of 3:21.70. The B team of Travis Garner, Straw, Ethan Ramirez, and Steven Hicks finished with at 3:38.39.

Chanriang won the 400m hurdles with a 54.14 and Garner placed third with a time of 57.77.

McIntyre led the team in the long jump with a - (6.68m). McIntyre also led in the triple jump with a - (13.25m).
