SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' track competed in the Incarnate Word Spring Break Classic on Thursday and Friday.
Zada Washington led the Cowgirls with a 27.29 in the 200m dash. The other Cowgirls to compete in the 200m were Baley Green (28.10), Keely Eshelman (30.56), and Johanna Jones (28.75). Green also ran in the 400m with a time of 1:04.94.
Washington also led the women in the 100m wit ha time of 13.33. Jones ran a 13.81 and Eshelman finished with a 14.66 in the 100m. Briana Cruz led the team in the 800m with a 2:57.00 and the 3000m with a time of 14:13.66.
Lauren Franklin led the team in the 100m hurdles with a 16.65. Keely Eshelman had an 18.20.
The Cowgirl 4x100m team of Camryn Aldridge, Washington, Kearra Greer, and Jones placed second overall with a time of 52.17.
Tanner Wright led the Cowboys in the 200m with a 22.53. Other Cowboys in the 200m were Aaron Martinez (22.98), Samuel Wells (23.42), and Joseph Gilligan (24.31). Michael Clark ran in the 1500m with a time of 4:33.84.
Wright also led the men in the 100m with an 11.44. He ran the 400m in 51.78. Gilligan recorded an 11.79 in the 100m. A. Martinez placed fourth overall in the 800m with a 1:55.49. Sammy Magallen ran a 2:05.34 800m. Clark finished with a 2:10.71 in the event.
Magallen and Clark both ran in the 3000m with times of 10:14.94 and 10:39.79 respectively. Wells finished with a time of 16.23 in the 110m hurdles. Gilligan had a 17.23 in the hurdles. Hasanai "Go" Chanriang placed second in the 400m with a 54.43.
Jones led the team in the long jump with a 17-8 (5.38m). Washington had a long jump of 15-5 (4.70m). Aldridge led the women in the triple jump with a 10.46m. Washington triple jumped 8.82m.
