Cowboy Track Hosts the HSU Relays

ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's track hosted the HSU Relays in Abilene on Saturday.

E.J. Konah led the Cowboys and placed third overall with a 10.89 in the 100m dash. The rest to compete in the 100m were Noah Straw (10.92), Tanner Wright (10.96), Juwan Crawford (11.00), Daelen Warren-Fruge (11.02), and Thomas Couch (11.79).

Wright led the Cowboys and placed third overall in the 200m dash with a time of 22.10. The rest to compete in the 200m were Konah (22.81), Straw (23.30), Samuel Wells (24.03), and Joseph Gilligan (24.16).

Aaron Martinez won the 400m running a 51.80. Malik Pratt placed third in the 400m with a 52.54. Steven Hicks ran a 1:00.41. Martinez also led the Cowboys in the 800m running a time of 2:08.47.

Michael Clark led the way in the 1500m with a 4:59.49. Cesar Ramirez ran a 5:15.60 in the 1500m.

River Smith led the team in the 5000m with a time of 17:19.26. Tyler Rohrman ran a 17:27.74 and Trey Denton ran an 18:53.46 5000m. Smith also led the Cowboys in the 10000m with a 36:04.55. Denton ran a 38:40.23 in the 10000m.

Wells placed second in the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.23. Couch clocked a 16.37 and Gilligan ran an 18.25 in the 110m hurdles. Hasanai "Go" Chanriang won the 400m hurdles with a time of 58.34. Travis Garner came in second with a 1:00.24 and Ethan Ramirez ran a 1:06.69.

Sammy Magallen placed second in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:12.67.

The Cowboy 4x100 relay team of Chanriang, Crawford, Wright, and Konah placed first overall with a 43.81. The second Cowboy 4x100 team of Teddy McIntyre, Warren-Fruge, Straw, and Couch placed third overall with a time of 46.28. The men's 4x400 team of Chanriang, Wright, Pratt, and A. Martinez placed first with a time of 3:30.94.

Wright placed second overall in the long jump with a 20-00 ¼ (6.10m). The two other Cowboys in the long jump were Konah 19-06 ¼ (5.95m) and McIntyre 18-9 ¼ (5.72m).
