HSU Track Teams Compete in UCO Alumni Classic

NORMAN, Okla. – Hardin-Simmons' track competed in Norman on Saturday at the UCO Alumni Classic.

Camryn Aldridge highlighted the day with a Hardin-Simmons' women's indoor record getting a 10-6 (3.20m) pole vault.

Kearra Greer placed sixth overall and led the Cowgirls in the 60m with a time of 8.01. Other Cowgirls in the 60m were Johanna Jones (8.26), Becky Kudayah (8.39), Julianna Taylor (8.43), and Jenna Lord (8.85).

Greer placed fifth overall in the 200m running a 26.75. Others in the 200m were Kudayah (28.70), Taylor (28.94), Jones (28.99), Zada Washington (29.08), Aldridge (29.64), Natasha Smith (30.30), Lauren Franklin (30.48), Keely Eshelman (30.97), and Lord (31.85).

Smith also ran in the 400m, leading the team with a 1:12.31. Franklin led the Cowgirls and finished seventh overall in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.15. Jamie Talley also competed in the hurdles with a 10.63 as well as Eshelman who clocked a 10.92.

Jones and Washington competed in the long jump with 16-3 ¼ (4.96m) and 13-2 ¼ (4.02m) respectively. Aldridge competed in the triple jump with a 33-4 (10.16m).

Sydney Cortes led the HSU throwers with a 32-10 ¼ (10.01m) shot put. Laura Bennet had a 29-10 ¼ (9.10m) and Britni Starr threw for 29-6 ¾ (9.01m).

E.J. Konah led the Cowboys in the 60m dash with a time of 7.17, placing ninth overall. Other Cowboys who competed in the 60m were Juwan Crawford (7.34) and Daelen Warren-Fruge (7.55). Fruge also competed in the 200m with a time of 25.78.

Konah also competed in the long jump with an 18-7 ¾ (5.68m).

HSU track will be in Lubbock for the Matador Classic at Texas Tech next Friday.
