NORMAN, Okla. – Hardin-Simmons' men's track competed in Norman Saturday at the Weilert Invite.
Tommy Couch led the Cowboys in the 60H with a 9.21 finish. Joe Gilligan ran a 9.27 and Juan Jordan had a 10.87. Couch and Gilligan qualified for the finals, where they ran times of 9.14 and 9.32 respectively.
E.J. Konah led the Cowboys in the 60m dash with a time of 7.13. Other Cowboys who competed in the 60m were Juwan Crawford (7.26), Tanner Wright (7.33), Hasanai "Go" Chanriang (7.42), Teddy McIntyre (7.44), Cole Mahoney (7.46), Daelen Warren-Fruge (7.48), Shane Webber (7.48), and Noah Straw (7.51).
Rohrman led the team in the mile run with a 4:48.05. Magallan ran a 4:53.98 and Smith ran a 4:57.26. Trey Denton ran a 5:19.29 mile.
"Go" Chanriang ran a team-best 52.43 400m, good for ninth overall. Mahoney had a 54.67 and Ethan Ramirez ran a 55.08 400.
Konah also led the team in the 200m dash with a time of 23.60. Other sprinters in the 200m for the cowboys included Crawford (23.82), Straw (24.07), Samuel Wells (24.29), E. Ramirez (24.84), Couch (25.07), and Gilligan (25.76).
The men's 4x400 team of "Go" Chanriang, Pratt, Wright, and A. Martinez finished third overall with a time of 3:28.48.
Wright finished second overall in the long jump with 21-11 ½ (6.69m), breaking the school record he set last week. McIntyre was in fourth overall at 20-10 ¾ (6.37m) and Konah finished tenth with 19-10 ¾ (6.06m).
Cowboy track will return to action next weekend in Lubbock for the Texas Tech Open.
