ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's track and field team finished third at the American Southwest Conference Championship on Saturday at the HSU Track Complex.
Hasanai Chanriang won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.44. He also placed seventh in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.31.
The men's 4x100 meter relay team consisting of Kevin Lavalais, Kyle Dodd, Warren Graham, and Brandon Sparks-Moffett finished second with a time of 42.03. Graham finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.99 and Sparks-Moffett took third with a time of 11.03.
Nate McEndree finished fifth in the 5000 meter run with a time of 16:54.85. He also finished eighth in the 1500 with a time of 4:35.31.
Dodd, Andrew Fischer, and Jerod Velasquez finished third, fourth and sixth in the 110 meter hurdles.
Kaelon McLemore finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 39' 6 ¾" (12.06m). He also had a seventh place finish in the discus with a throw of 110' 4" (33.64m).
Friday's Recap On the Cowboy's side, Brandon Sparks-Moffett set a new school record and finished first in the 100-meter dash prelims with a time of 10.77.
Warren Graham also qualified for the 100-meter finals with a second place finish in the prelims at a time of 10.82.
Kaelon McLemore threw 128' 10" in the hammer to finish second in the hammer throw finals. He also finished fourth in the javelin with a throw of 146' 8". Duron Smith finished second in the triple jump with a jump of 43' 6". He also placed fifth in the long jump with a jump of 20' 8".
Nate McEndree finished fifth in the 10,000-meter run final with a time of 39:19.10. He also finished seventh in the 3000 meter steeplechase final with a time of 11:20.91.
Hasanai Chanriang finished fifth in the 400-meters prelims with a time of 50.65. He finished first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.40 to qualify for finals.
