Four School Records Set At UCO Indoor

NORMAN, Okla.-- Hardin-Simmons' track and field teams set four new school records at the University of Central Oklahoma Open that was held at the University of Oklahoma in Norman on Saturday.

Freshman Kristen Adair set the triple jump record with a leap of 35-5 ¼. She placed seventh overall in the event.

Junior Evlyn Collins extended her school record in the weight throw with a toss of 46-10 ¼. It bettered her previous record by six inches. She placed ninth in the competition.

Derek Footer lowered his school record in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.44. He finished seventh in the finals.

Freshman Kyle Mann extended his school record he set last week with a height of 14-5 1/4 in the pole vault.

The teams will compete at the Texas Tech Indoor next weekend in Lubbock.
