Cowboys End Season With Loss In ASC Semifinals
TYLER, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's tennis dropped a 5-2 match to Texas Dallas in the semifinals of the American Southwest Conference Championship on Friday Morning in Tyler.

UTD took an early 2-0 lead with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles by scores of 8-4. Andrew Eurek and Alex Hunt picked up a win at No. 1 doubles to make it 2-1 heading to singles play.

In singles action, UTD won at No. 2 and No. 4 singles in straight sets and Alex Hunt won in straight sets at No. 1 singles to cut the deficit to 4-2. The other three singles matches were then still on the court and all went to a third set.

Eric Chen clinched the match at No. 6 singles with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 win.

It was the final career match for Eurek and fellow senior Cameron Vose.

UTD is 14-3 on the year and will take on UT Tyler for the ASC title on Saturday. The Cowboys end the season with a 10-12 record.
