MARSHALL, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team improved to 10-0 on the season and set a new school record for consecutive wins as the Cowboys blanked East Texas Baptist, 3-0, in American Southwest Conference action in Marshall on Friday night.
HSU added to the lead in the 59th minute when Kiko Redondo scored his fourth goal of the season and HSU put the game away when Austin Wills buried a shot from deep on an assist from Redondo for his first goal of the year.
The Cowboys had 12 shots in the game and nine on target. ETBU had 15 shots in the game with seven on target.
The Cowboys are now 10-0 overall and 3-0 in ASC action. East Texas Baptist fell to 2-7 overall and 1-2 in league play. HSU will play at LeTourneau at 7 p.m. on Saturday night.
