Cowboys Fall at No. 17 Trinity

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team lost 3-0 to No. 17 Trinity on Friday night in San Antonio. 

Trinity had a quick score in the second minute of the contest, a goal by Andrea Codispoti assisted by Quentin Van Der Lee. Brady Johnston secured the next Tiger goal at 57 minutes off an assist from Codispoti and Joshua Lai put Trinity up 3-0 in the 67th minute.

The Cowboys had 14 shots in the game with five on frame. Trinity had 19 shots in the game and seven on goal.

Trent Ivy totaled four saves in goal for the Cowboys before Sammy Miranda made his first career appearance. Blake Lieberman saved all five of the Cowboys' shots on goal to get the shutout win.

HSU (0-3) will return to action at 5 p.m. Saturday against UT Dallas.
