ATLANTA, Ga. – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Emory Friday night in Atlanta to start the season.
Emory began the scoring in the 39th minute when Moustafa Khattab scored on a rebound shot. In the second half, Jun Tsuru followed suit in the 54th minute with another rebound shot and goal, giving the Eagles the 2-0 win.
The Cowboys had seven shots on the night with three on goal. Emory totaled 19 shots, eight of them being on goal.
Trent Ivy recorded six saves of the eight shots on goal in the loss, while Emory keeper Cole Gallagher managed three saves.
HSU (0-1) stays in Atlanta for their next contest against Oglethorpe on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
