Five HSU Soccer Players Named CoSIDA Academic All-District
ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' had five soccer players be named to the 2016 College Sports Information Director's of America Division III academic all-district VIII in a votes of the SIDs in the district.

The Cowgirls had four players named to the team – Kami Jones, Kenne Kessler, Josey Meyer and Kirsten Parrish and Tanner Coffin was named to the men's team. All five will go on the national ballot for Academic All-American honors.

To be selected to the team players must be at least a sophomore, have at least a 3.30 GPA and play in at least 50 percent of the team's games. The award's significance is heightened by the fact that players are voted on for the academic and athletic credentials.

Meyer and Kessler are both sophomores with 4.0 GPAs in biology, Jones is a junior with a 4.0 in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Parrish is a junior with a 4.0 in biology.

Coffin is a senior defender and has a 4.00 as a graduate student in the Sports Management program.
