Concordia Snaps Cowboys Nine-Game Win Streak
AUSTIN, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team fell 95-89 to Concordia in American Southwest Conference action in Austin.

The first half featured five ties and 11 lead changes and the teams combined to make 19 3-pointers with Concordia leading 50-49 at halftime.

In the second half, Concordia pushed the lead out to 73-59 before the Cowboys came storming back cut the deficit to 84-82 with 4:04 to play.

The Tornados made a play every time the Cowboys came close down the stretch. Dashun Dixon had a chance to tie the game with :51 to play but his 3-pointer spun out and the Tornados sealed the game down the stretch at the line.

Dashun Dixon led the Cowboys with 27 points and Caleb Spoon added 15. Duane Hopper and Christian O'Neal had 13 points each and Nathaniel Jack had 12 points and nine rebounds. Justin Jones had nine points, 11 rebounds and eight blocked shots.
Ephriam Price led Concordia with 30 points. He had eight 3-pointers. Ben Page had 13 points and 15 rebounds and Joe Neal had 18 points and 12 rebounds.
HSU is now 14-5 on the year and 8-2 in league play and Concordia improved to 14-6 overall and 8-3 in conference action. HSU will play at Sul Ross State on Thursday.
