Cowboys Win Fifth Straight Game With 75-68 Win Over UTD
RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team won its fifth straight game with a 75-68 win over Texas Dallas on Saturday afternoon at the UTD Activity Center in Richardson.

The game featured 10 ties and nine lead changes before the Cowboys took control down the stretch.

UTD jumped out to a 29-22 lead but the Cowboys used a 9-2 run to tie the game at 31. UTD led 42-37 at halftime.

The Cowboys took their biggest lead of the game at the 10:33 mark when Dashun Dixon hit a 3-pointer and got fouled and made the free throw to make it 59-55. The Cowboys never trailed again but the Comets did tie the game at 66 with 3:24 to play.

Nathaniel Jack hit a pair of free throws on the next trip and after another stop Dixon hit his third 3-pointer of the half to make it 71-66 and the Cowboys held on down the stretch at the line.

Christian O'Neal led the Cowboys with 22 points and Nathaniel Jack added 20. Justin Jones had 12 points, eight rebounds and eight blocked shots.

Dimitrius Underwood had 19 points off the bench to lead the Comets and Reagan Keogh and Kyle Coulter had 13 points.

HSU is now 11-4 on the year and 5-1 in ASC play and will host Howard Payne on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Mabee Complex. UTD fell to 3-10 on the year and 2-4 in conference play.
