Cowgirls Blank Schreiner to Claim Share of ASC West Title

KERRVILLE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team clinched a share of the American Southwest Conference West Division title with a 30-23, 31-29, 30-27 win over Schreiner, Friday night in Kerrville.

Amanda Mace led the Cowgirls attack with 17 kills in the match. Kaela Parnell added 12 kills and HSU hit .318 as a team in the match. Amanda Curry ran the offense with 33 assists and also led the team with 12 digs.

The Cowgirls are undefeated against ASC West teams this season, with their lone conference loss coming to UT Dallas.

The Cowgirls are now 21-7 on the year and 16-1 in league play and Schreiner fell to 10-14 overall and 7-10 in league play. HSU can claim their second outright West Division title with a win at Texas Lutheran on Saturday. --- HSU ---
