HSU Sweeps Sul Ross State

ALPINE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons swept Sul Ross State 25-6, 25-22, 25-18 in American Southwest Conference volleyball action Wednesday night at the Gallego Center in Alpine.

The Cowgirls took control of the match with a 25-6 win in the first game. HSU was able to get at least two games of playing time for everyone in the lineup.

Brianna Addison and Cambra Hughes led a balanced offensive attack with seven kills. Kaela Parnell and Andrea Modrall each had six kills each.

Sam Lucien led the defense with six digs. Erin Davis and Kaitlin Mitchell each had 13 assists.

HSU improved to 17-11 with the win and to 13-3 in league play. Sul Ross State fell to 2-23 overall and 0-16 in ASC play. HSU hosts Schreiner on Friday at 7 p.m.
