Cowgirls Win Seventh Straight

BROWNWOOD, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team won its seventh straight match with a 25-15,15-25, 25-18, 28-26 American Southwest Conference win over Howard Payne at the Brownwood Coliseum.

Cambra Hughes led the Cowgirls with 12 kills and she hit .440 for the match. Amanda Mace recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs. Kaela Parnell had 10 kills for HSU.

Gracen Harris led the Cowgirl defense with 16 digs. HSU limited HPU to a .147 hitting percentage in the match, while hitting .256.

The Cowgirls are now 13-6 overall and 10-1 in ASC action. Howard Payne fell to 11-10 overall and 4-8 in league play. HSU will play at the ASC crossover in Belton over the weekend.
