Cowgirls Split on Second Day

ATLANTA, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team split a pair of matches in the Emory Invitational defeating Averett, 25-15, 25-17, 25-12 and falling to Haverford, 25-23, 26-24, 25-23, Saturday in Atlanta.

In the win over Averett, Cambra Hughes led the way with eight kills. Sam Lucien led the defense with 15 digs and freshman Kaitlin Mitchell had 11.

In the final game of the classic Hughes led the way with eight kills and Kaela Parnell had seven. Harris and Chelsie Fowler each had 16 digs.

The Cowgirls are now 3-5 on the season and will be off until the home and conference opener against Concordia on Sept. 19.
