Four Cowgirls Honored By ASC
RICHARDSON, Texas - Four Hardin-Simmons volleyball players have been given awards by the American Southwest Conference in a vote by the league coaches.
Junior middle blocker Kaela Parnell and sophomore middle blocker Cambra Hughes were each named to the all-ASC team that is a combination of the best players in the ASC's East and West Divisions. The combo were the top two players in the ASC in hitting percentage this season.
Parnell and Hughes were also named first-team all-ASC West Division.
Junior outside hitter Chelsie Fowler was named the ASC West Newcomer of the Year after a solid campaign. Fowler was also named second-team all-ASC West Division. Sophomore Gracen Harris was named an honorable mention all-ASC West Division selection.
The Cowgirls went 20-12 on the year and advanced to the ASC Tournament for the fourth straight year.

ASC West Division Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year: Patricia Brown, Sr., Howard Payne University
ASC West Division Coaching Staff of the Year: Texas Lutheran University
