Cowgirls Split at ASC Crossover

BELTON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' volleyball team split a pair of matches in the American Southwest Conference Crossover Tournament, Saturday in Belton. The Cowgirls defeated Mary Hardin-Baylor 25-20, 25-16, 16-25, 25-12 and fell to UT-Dallas 25-18, 21-25, 25-20, 25-22.

In the match against UT-Dallas, Kaela Parnell had 16 kills and Cambra Hughes added 13 kills. Chelsie Fowler led the defensive effort with 17 digs.

Against Mary Hardin-Baylor, Hughes had a team-best 14 kills. Fowler had a huge game with 13 kills and 20 digs and Gracen Harris added 19 digs.

The Cowgirls are now 15-7 overall and 12-2 in American Southwest Conference action. HSU will play at crosstown rival McMurry on Wednesday.
