HSU Has Solid Meet at New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons' indoor track teams had a solid meet the University of New Mexico Classic at the The Albuquerque Convention Center on Friday and Saturday.

On the women's side, Aaron Livingston pace the 60-meter runners with a time of 8.23 and Jayci Shelton ran a 9.59 to pace the team in the 60 hurdles in her first meet as a Cowgirl.

Livingston, Kaitlin Roberts and Lauren Rodgers ran 26.67, 27.01 and 27.10 in the 200. Rodgers and Roberts ran 1:02.12 and 1:02.33 in the 400. The 4x400 relay team of Roberts, Livingston, Rodgers and Halee Edwards ran a 4:03.85 to place 11th.

Kami Bellah had a jump of 5-2 to place 20th in the high jump.

For the men, Jose Balanos, Zeth Barron and Patrick Adams all three ran a 7.71 in the 60. Sam Green and Derek Footer placed 21st and 22nd with times of 9.10 and 9.11 in the 60 hurdles.

Bolanos, Barron and Adams ran 24.16, 24.85 and 24.93 in the 200. Daniel Kaplinski ran a 52.06 in the 400 to place 29th. Kaplinski placed eighth in the 600 with a 1:28.75 and Kyle Hooper placed ninth with a 1:38.85.

Brendon Kelso had a throw of 45-9 in the weight throw to place 14th.

The teams will conclude the indoor season on Feb. 18 at The University of Oklahoma.
