Hill, Rawlings Named First-Team All-ASC West

RICHARDSON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons had two players - Sadye Hill and Laura Rawlings -- named first-team All-American Southwest Conference West Division team that was voted on by the league's head coaches.
Hill, a senior from Burleson, led the ASC West in batting average (.527), on-base percentage (.603), slugging percentage (.925) and home runs (9) and earned first-team honors at first base. Rawlings, a freshman pitcher and outfielder from Mt. Plesant, was among the ASC West leaders in wins (12), strikeouts (113) and innings pitched (139 2/3). She finished the year 12-10 with a 2.51 ERA.
The Cowgirls had three players named to the second team. Senior Lydia Bradley was named second team at catcher to become the first person in Cowgirl program history to be named first or second team All-ASC all four years. She hit .352 with two home runs and 21 RBIs. She was also second in the league in runners caught stealing with 12. Freshmen Cera Beasley and Kourtney Bailey also were named to the second team, Beasley as an outfielder and Bailey as a designated player.
Second basemen Cricket Criner, shortstop Courtney Clark, third basemen Heather Cobb and utility player Lacie Cole were all named honorable mention All-ASC West Division. HSU returns seven of the nine players honored next season and five of them were freshmen.
