Cowgirls Picked Seventh in ASC Softball Poll

RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' softball team was picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll of American Southwest Conference head coaches and sports information directors.

HSU returns just one position starter but returns two of its top three pitchers from a year ago. The Cowgirls went 17-22 last season.

It will be the first season for head coach Chanin Naudin.

Sophomore pitcher Lexie Allen, senior shortstop Kirsten Kenyon and freshman first baseman Hillarie Carpenter were named to the players to watch list.

The Cowgirls open the season on Feb. 3 when they host Trinity in a doubleheader.
