Cowgirls Set For NCAA Tournament Play

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team will begin its quest for an NCAA Championship in California with a game against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday at 7 p.m. CST) at Redlands University in Redlands, Calif.

CMS is 11-8-1 on the year and the Cowgirls are 15-3-3. HSU advanced to the tournament with a 2-0 win over Texas-Dallas in the American Southwest Conference Championship on Sunday.  

The win was the sixth straight league title for the Cowgirls. HSU will be making its eighth appearance into the NCAA Tournament and have an all-time record of 7-3-3. HSU has won or advanced on penalty kicks in all but one of their appearances into the national tournament.

If the Cowgirls advance over CMS, they will play the winner of the University of Redlands/UC-Santa Cruz on Sunday at 8 p.m. CST.
