Cowgirls Blank McMurry

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team remained undefeated in American Southwest Conference play with a 7-0 win over crosstown rival McMurry Saturday afternoon at Edwards Field.
The Cowgirls remain unscored upon in league play as they have outscored their opponents 49-0 in moving to 8-0-1 in ASC play. It was the 103rd straight game that the Cowgirls have not lost in ASC play.
Jordan Morley began a three-goal day with a goal 7:28 into the game, it came on an assist from Carlyn Powers. Lindsay Cogburn scored at the 15:19 mark and Amy Kuykendall scored from Morgan Loyd at the 17:31 mark to make it 3-0.
Morley scored on an assist from Loyd and Katie Dagenais scored on an assist from Cogburn to make it 5-0 at the 31:41 mark. Morley added a goal :14 seconds into the second half on an assist from Kuykendall and Kayleigh Nager added a goal in the 79th minute on the third assist of the game for Loyd.
The Cowgirls outshot McMurry 41-2 in the game and Christi Carr and Rebecca Roth split time in goal for HSU.
Hardin-Simmons is now 9-2-3 overall. McMurry fell to 0-12 overall and 0-9 in league play.
