Carr, Powers Named All-Region

ABILENE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons women’s soccer players Christi Carr and Carlyn Powers have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America all-South region teams.

Both were named to the third team. Carr, a junior goalkeeper, posted a 0.37 goals against average. Powers helped lead the Cowgirls with a powerful attack on the midfield. She had two goals and five assists and a high 50-50 ball winning percentage.

The Cowgirls went 15-3-4 and won the American Southwest Conference title for the sixth straight year and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
