Cowgirls One Stroke Out of the Lead At Schreiner Spring Shootout

 

KERRVILLE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team is one stroke out of the team lead at the Schreiner Spring Shootout that is being played at the par-72, 5,814-yard Golf Club at Comanche Trace in Kerrville.

The Cowgirls shot a 320 and sit one stroke behind Trinity. Southwestern is third with a 321. Schreiner is in fourth place at 329, Mary Hardin-Baylor is fifth at 335, followed by Texas Lutheran and McMurry.

Carly Pachuta continued her strong play to start the spring with a season-best 75 to pace the Cowgirls. Senior Kelsie Guinn and freshman Heidi Moser each shot 81 for the Cowgirls. The 81 was a career-best for Moser. Freshman Jordan Daggs fired a career-best 83 and Taylor Thompson carded a 90.

Pachuta is tied for second with Emily Campbell of Southwestern just one stroke behind Emilee Stausburg of Trinity. Guinn and Moser are tied for eighth place overall.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
