Cowgirls In Sixth at UT-Dallas

RICHARDSON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's golf team is currently in sixth place after the first round of UTD's Lady Comet Invitational at the par-71, 6,163-yard Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson.

The Cowgirls shot a 373 and are 14 shots behind fifth place College of the Southwest.  UC Santa Cruz currently leads the tournament with a 326, followed by Northwood with a 346, and UT Tyler with a 348.

Jessica Lewis of UC Santa Cruz leads the pack after shooting a 79. HSU is led by Ashley Luecke who shot an 82 which places her in a tie for fifth place.  Tiffany Hambrick shot a 92, DeLane Griffith shot a 98, Sara Parker shot a 101, and Ashley Jacques shot a 102 to round out the Cowgirl lineup.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
