Cowgirls In Eighth Place

SALADO, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons’ women’s golf team in eighth place after the first round of the Mary Hardin-Baylor Spring Invitational that is being held at the Mill Creek Country Club in Salado.

The Cowgirls are playing with just four players and they shot a 399 in the first round.
DeLane Griffth led the Cowgirls with a 93 and Ashley Jacques shot a 97. Tiffany Hambrick and Andrea Tharp shot 104 and 105 respectively.

Redlands Community College leads the tournament after shooting a 314. Kaitlin Higginbotham shot a 75 to lead the individual race.

The teams will conclude the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday.
