The Cowgirls then had back-to-back turnovers and LC took the lead 69-67. Danie Mabry then stole a pass and was fouled and she split a pair of free throws to make it 69-68 with :27 to play.
LC then turned the ball over on an inbounds pass with :08 to play and the Cowgirls had one last chance at the win but freshman Ryan Bush's 3-pointer at the buzzer hit the rim and fell out and the Wildcats escaped with a win.
