Weather Delays HSU CC Invitational

ABILENE, Texas -- Rain and lightning played havoc with the Hardin-Simmons cross country invitational on Friday evening and some of the teams came back to run Saturday morning.

The Cowboys had just two runners compete as freshman Stephen McEndree ran a 17:55 in the 5K event. Cesar Ramirez ran an 18:04 for the Cowboys.

Devitt Smetana of Angelo State won the individual race with a time of 16:03 to pace the Rams to a five point win over Ranger College 26 to 31.

HSU will run at the ASC preview this weekend in Austin.
