HSU Has First Cross Country Meet

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' cross country teams made school history with the first meets in school history, Saturday morning at Sherrod Park.

The Cowgirls finished in sixth place out of the six teams. Alyssa Thompson was the top Cowgirl finisher with a time of 25:09.

Lisa Larson finished in a time of 25:40. Kindell Moore (26:11), Raquel Cantu (26:39) and Trissy Herington (27:48) rounded out the Cowgirl lineup.

The men's team had only four healthy runners so did not compete as a team, but had a solid showing with its four runners. Adam Dobbins finished 26^th with a time of 23:20. Joe Rosas finished with a 25:29, Jeff Nutt finished in 25:45 and Josh Malacara in 26:37.

The teams will next be in action Sept. 19 at Texas Tech.
