HSU Track Competes At Texas Tech Indoor

LUBBOCK, Texas — For the second straight week, the Hardin-Simmons' track teams competed at the Texas Tech Indoor Meet.

Aaron Livingston led the Cowgirls in the 55-meters with a time of 7.73. Livinston also had the best finish by a Cowgirl in the 200 with a time of 27.02.

Kaitlin Roberts finished 10th in the 600-yard run with a time of 1:31.67 and Lauren Rodgers was right behind her with a 1:31.96. Halee Edwards ran a 9.70 in the 55-hurdles to lead the Cowgirls.

Branell Falcon finished eighth in the weight throw with a distance of 37-1 ¼.

On the men's side, Zeth Barron ran a 7.08 in the 55 meters to pace six Cowboys in the event. Derek Footer had the top time in the 200-meteres with a 24.10.

Daniel Kaplinski had a time of 1:16.98 to finish 31st in the 600-yard run.

Footer ran an 8.37 for an 18th place finish in the 55-meter hurdles. Justin Gray finished ninth in his section of the shot put with a 42-3 ½. Gray also finished third with a throw of 47-02 ½ in the weight throw. Brendon Kelso placed eighth with a throw of 44-2.

HSU is next in action on Feb. 4 at the University of New Mexico.
