SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Hardin-Simmons tennis team ended non-conference play with a 7-2 loss to Washington University of St. Louis, Saturday afternoon at Trinity University in San Antonio.

The Cowboys lost three close doubles matches and then fell in four of the six singles matches. Andy Cariens defeated Mark Partridge, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles and Justin Lockaby won at No. 5 single, 0-6, 6-3, 10-3, with the final set being a pro set.

HSU is now 6-6 on the year and will return to action at Schreiner on Thursday.
