Cowboys Will Play at Trinity

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team will play fourth-ranked Trinity University in the first round of the NCAA Division III Soccer Championship, Wednesday at the Blossom Soccer Complex in San Antonio at 6 p.m.

It will be a rematch of an earlier season meeting between the two teams in Abilene. Trinity won the game 2-1 in overtime. It is the second meeting between the two teams in the NCAA Tournament. Trinity won the previous encounter in 3-2 in four overtimes in the 2000 season.

Trinity comes into the game with a 16-1-1 record and the Cowboys are 13-4-2. HSU won the American Southwest Conference Tournament on Sunday, defeating the University of the Ozarks, 2-0. Trinity won the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The winner of the game will host Webster (Mo.) on Sunday.
