Barham, Brooks Honored

ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons men's soccer players Brad Barham and Jeff Brooks were two of just 11 players selected to Region VI College Sports Information Director's of America Academic All-District team.

Brooks, a senior from Denton has a 4.0 GPA as a math and theology double major. He is third on the Cowboys' team with seven goals.

A sophomore from Wichita Falls, Barham was named all-region athletically as a freshman at sweeper. This year he will likely be all-region athletically and academically in the first year he was eligible for both awards. Barham is a 3.70 theology major.

To be eligible for the awards a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA and must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at the nominating institution.Teams in NCAA Division II, III and NAIA schools representing the six states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas make up Region VI.
