Cowboys Move to 4-0 in ASC West

SEGUIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' soccer teams swept a doubleheader, Saturday afternoon at Texas Lutheran University, with the men and women both moving staying undefeated in American southwest Conference West Division play with 1-0 victories.

Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team won its fifth straight game with a 1-0 win over American Southwest Conference West Division preseason favorite Texas Lutheran.

The Cowboys' Ryan Flanigan scored the game's lone goal in the 11th minute on an assist from Chris Carroll and HSU's stingy defense did the rest.

Ryan Shuaghnessy was brilliant in goal with seven saves. HSU won the shot battle 17-13.

With the win the Cowboys improved to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in ASC West play. Texas Lutheran fell to 5-3, 0-3.
