Cowboys Tie UMHB In Men’s Soccer
BELTON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team tied Mary Hardin-Baylor 1-1 in American Southwest Conference action in Belton on Saturday evening.

Logan Keeler gave the Cru a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute off a free kick to the top right corner.

The game remained 1-0 until the 58th minute when the Cowboys tied it up on a Jio Gonzalez header off of a Cole Johnson throw in.

The Cowboys played a man down for the final 29:08 of regulation and the two overtimes.

Michael Vargas had 11 saves for the Cowboys in goal and Javier Zaragoza had six saves for UMHB. The Cru outshot the Cowboys 18-13 in the match.

The Cowboys are now 6-3-2 on the year and 4-1-2 in conference play. UMHB is 8-4-1 overall and 4-1-1 in ASC action. The Cowboys play at McMurry next Saturday in its next action.
