Cowboys Score Rally For 2-1 Win Over Belhaven
JACKSON, Miss. – Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team scored twice in the final 17:08 to rally for a 2-1 win over Belhaven on Thursday evening in Jackson, Miss.

Belhaven scored first when Somto Ngwudike scored off a cross and deflection in the 33rd minute. It was one of just two shots on target for the Blazers on the night.

HSU tied the game in the 73rd minute when Will Burke scored off a header in the box. It was his first career goal.

The Cowboys took the lead in the 78th minute when Tanner Coffin finished off a penalty kick for his third goal of the season and his third straight game winner for the Cowboys.

Michael Vargas worked the shutout in goal in the defensive minded game. HSU had a 7-6 advantage in shots on goal. 

HSU is now 4-2 and the Cowboys have won four straight. Belhaven fell to 1-4-1 on the year. HSU will play at Louisiana College on Saturday at 3:30 in Pineville, La.
