ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team slugged out a 0-0 tie against Texas-Dallas in American Southwest Conference action Saturday at the HSU Soccer Complex.

The tie pushed the Cowboys to 5-2-3 overall and 4-0-2 in ASC action. That ASC mark gives the Cowboys the outright lead in the ASC standings. UT-Dallas is now 5-3-2 overall and 3-0-2 in conference action.

The game was a slugfest with 13 fouls on HSU and 11 on UT-Dallas. UTD outshot the Cowboys 16-13 and 7-4 on goal.

HSU's defensive again was solid in front of freshman goalkeeper Logan Waters, who pitched the shutout in goal for the third straight game. He recorded six saves in the game. Jake Brandon had four saves for UTD.

The Cowboys will return to action on Monday when it hosts Webster (Mo.). That game will start at 1 p.m., which is a time change from the 3 p.m. originally scheduled start.
