Cowboy's Fall To St. Mary's


SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team allowed four second half goals en route to a 5-1 loss to Division II St. Mary's, Thursday afternoon in San Antonio.

The Cowboys were in the game in the first half with St. Mary's scoring the lone goal for a 1-0 halftime lead.

The Rattlers made it 2-0 in the 50th minute and 3-0 in the 60th minute. HSU got on the board on a penalty kick Estevan Arbaiza in the 66th minute. St. Mary's added two late goals to secure the win.

HSU is now 1-3 on the year and after having its game on Friday at St. Thomas canceled by Hurricane Ike will not be in action until Sept. 19 when it hosts LeTourneau in the American Southwest Conference opener at the HSU Soccer Complex.
